Working Out in the Exer-Saucer

Mary Paul loves her exer-saucer...as you can see it brings her moments of activity, joy, frustration and total wonder!! It's a great invention. I wonder if every kids loves their exer-saucer as much as Mary Paul. Daisy likes it too.

Mary Paul and I went to Atlanta this weekend. We were very busy!!! We went to a rehearsal dinner Friday night, a lingerie shower Saturday afternoon, a wedding Saturday night, and did mother's day with my mom on Sunday. Then we drove to Fall Creek Falls, met Bryan, spent the night, watched him speak at a conference then went home. Needless to say we are very tired. Mary Paul was a dream baby though and apparently loves parties. She stayed up late every night. I made a special cake for the bride (she has diabetes) and it was hard to find a decent recipe for diabetic friendly cakes. There are cake recipes but they are all for fruit based cakes, layer cakes are few and far between. It turned out a little lopsided but at least it tasted good!!!

My Husband and his "Girls"

I have a wonderful husband. He helps out with Mary Paul and takes her a little while everyday so I can exercise, clean or whatever. He also plays with our sweet Daisy dog, which I don't always have the energy to do these days. These are just some pictures I took of him with his "girls".

Four Months Old

Mary Paul had her 4 month appointment Friday. She weighed in at 15 lbs 1 oz and is 25 inches long!!! We were told to start her on rice cereal. So, we tried it. I've chronicled her first rice cereal experience. We're still not sure if she liked it...or just the spoon.

Not Quite Jumping for Johnny

For those of you who are wondering...where is Daisy...she's sleeping under Mary Paul's bed.

We put Mary Paul in the Johnny Jump Up because we thought she'd love it. She is always moving her legs and her feet, kicking and going a mile a minute. As you can see...she opted not to jump.

Beach + Easter = Tradition

Every year my husband and I, plus some friends from church, go to Florida (around Destin) for Easter. We usually get there on Wednesday and most everyone else on Thursday and stay through till Sunday. We get a house and hang out on the beach. This year was Mary Paul's first time to go and her first trip to the beach. We love the beach and go several times a year, so it was very special to have Mary Paul with us this trip. Mary Paul also met her great grandmother for the first time as well and got to spend some time with Nana.

Everyone else is doing it...

I have given into peer pressure. Courtney kept telling me I should have a blog. I kept saying no, it wasn't really my thing, but then she said the magic words..."You should do a blog because of all those good pictures you have of Mary Paul." Now she was using not only peer pressure, but flattery...what mother doesn't want hear that pictures of her child are beautiful, hence her child is beautiful. Thus, I succumbed and have started a blog...Courtney's right you know...Mary Paul is beautiful.
